Yondan or 4th Dan black belt, has no formal syllabus.

This is the time were students are to work on the previous syllabus they have learned, yellow to 3rd Dan. and raise it to the next level.

Students are expected to increase their understanding of Jukoshin Ryu Jiu-jitsu syllabus, focusing on the fine details of each technique as well as increasing the overall smoothness of its application.

This is also a were students are encouraged to explore new ways of applying familiar techniques and looking deeper into how all the techniques within Jukoshin Ryu fit together.

The title of Renshi (Polished Expert or Expert Instructor) is often awarded at this level.
